We are looking forward to a year filled with wonderful experiences and learning opportunities! Below is important information regarding open houses, orientations, pictures, and schedule pickups for Woodland, KMS, and KHS.
Woodland Elementary
E5 & Kindergarten Open House: Thursday, August 20th from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
E5 & K classroom teacher information and a link to schedule a time to visit will be sent out on Friday, August 7th.
1st - 4th Grade Open House: Monday, August 24th from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
1st - 4th Grade classroom teacher information and a link to schedule a visit will be sent out on Tuesday, August 11th.
Transportation: Schillemans Busing will be at both open houses to go over any busing questions you may have.

Kingsford Middle School (KMS)
5th Grade & New Student Orientation (Thursday, August 20th): Orientation sessions will take place in the KMS Cafeteria. Parents of fifth graders or new students are encouraged to attend the session with their student. School supplies and locker items may be brought to school at this time.
5th Grade (Last names A - L): 8:30 AM - 9:15 AM.
5th Grade (Last names M - Z): 9:45 AM - 10:30 AM.
New Students: May attend either of the sessions above.
Picture Day for ALL KMS Students (Thursday, August 20th): Please try to observe these times, but if you cannot attend during your slot, come during a time that works best for you.
5th Graders: 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM.
6th Graders: 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM.
7th Graders: 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM.
8th Graders: 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM.

Kingsford High School (KHS) Updates
Additional information for all KHS students will be sent out on August 6th.
Required Forms for Class Schedules: In order to receive your class schedule, you must return the following signed forms:
Student profile form (both sides).
Computer User Agreement/Chromebook Handbook & Technology Acceptable Use Policy form (both sides).
FERPA Yearly Opt-In consent form (both sides).
Concussion Awareness form.
Schedule Pick-up & Picture Times (Thursday, August 20th):
Seniors: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Juniors: 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM.
Sophomores: 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM.
Freshman & New Student Mandatory Orientation:
When: Thursday, August 20th at 5:30 PM in the KHS Auditorium.
Details: We will discuss KHS expectations, graduation requirements, the attendance policy, and available activities/opportunities.
Schedules & Pictures: You will receive your class schedule after the orientation program. You may get your picture taken anytime between 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM or after orientation, but you MUST attend orientation to receive your class schedule.
Important Reminders: Parents and students are required to know the contents of the Student Handbook and should review the Technology Agreement on our website at www.kingsford.org. The handbook contains information about students’ rights and responsibilities and serves as a valuable reference to avoid confusion during the school year.
