On Monday, May 18, students from Kingsford Middle School and Iron Mountain Schools had the meaningful opportunity to visit Cemetery Park to place flags on the gravesites of Veterans in honor of their service and sacrifice. 

This long-standing tradition is much more than a community service activity, it is an important opportunity for students to learn about respect, gratitude, patriotism, and the importance of remembering those who helped protect our country and our freedoms.

Breitung Township Schools is proud of the students who participated in this special event and grateful to the community members and organizations who continue to make experiences like this possible. Small acts of kindness and remembrance can carry tremendous meaning, and Monday’s efforts served as a powerful reminder of the value of service and community.
