Kingsford High School is proud to announce its 2026 Sophomore Leadership nominees, a group of students recognized by KHS faculty for their significant school involvement, strong academic records, and high character.
While the Michigan Youth Leadership (MyLead) Conference was unfortunately canceled late in the process this year, Kingsford High School remains dedicated to acknowledging the outstanding achievements of the students who were selected to attend. These students demonstrate the "Flivver" spirit through their integrity and dedication to excellence. Those recognized include: Alaysa Bacon, Myla Beauchamp, Kyra Clement, Domenic Fredrickson, Avery Edwards, Kelsie Haelterman, Haylee Kasten, Chloe Lanning, Gianna Novara, and Jade Span.
In addition, Persephone Donnelly, Lexi Gunville, and Madison Miller have been selected to attend the HOBY (Hugh O’Brian Youth) Leadership Conference held at Albion College, where they will focus on community service and social responsibility.
Emily Strickler will attend the WILS (Wisconsin Leadership Seminar) at Carroll University in June, a conference that fosters the growth of leadership skills, volunteerism, and community involvement to help students become successful, responsible contributors to society.
Each of the fourteen students nominated embody the initiative and integrity that Kingsford High School strives to instill in all its students. The KHS staff and administration congratulate these rising leaders on their well-deserved honors and look forward to their continued contributions to the community.
