We are proud to recognize Dawson Hood as our Student of the Week. He truly represents what it means to be a Flivver: dedicated, reliable, and respectful. He is an 8th grade student at Kingsford Middle School and is the son of Darrell and Jennifer Hood.

A three-sport athlete, he competes in football, basketball, and wrestling, demonstrating incredible commitment and determination throughout the entire school year. Whether he’s on the field, on the court, or on the mat, he always gives his best effort and leads by example. His work ethic and competitive spirit make him a valuable teammate and someone others look up to.

Outside of school sports, he enjoys weightlifting and spending time with friends. His dedication to strength training reflects his discipline and drive to continuously improve. Not just as an athlete, but as a person.
In addition to his academic and athletic accomplishments, he is extremely well-behaved, respectful, and mature beyond his years. Teachers consistently appreciate his positive attitude and reliability, and his peers admire him for his kindness and easygoing personality. He is well liked by everyone and contributes to positivity wherever he goes.
