The English 9 classes at KHS incorporate art into the curriculum since art and literature/analysis are both creative processes. Art completed during the first quarter included a Welcome One-Pager, maps of the island from the short story "The Most Dangerous Game", illustrated Six-Word Short Stories, and creative book reports.

 

Shown is Hailey with some examples. The first is the Welcome One-Pager where students introduce themselves by telling their likes and favorites through pictures and text. The other is her book report; Hailey read a book about the Peanuts gang by Charles Schulz and made the characters out of clay and explained how each character fit into the series.
