1.     Word Processing Skills - be able to use some type of word processing program to complete written tasks in a timely manner.

 

2.     PowerSchool and PowerGrade Skills - be able to use PowerSchool for student attendance and PowerGrade (grades 3-12) for electronic grade book.

 

3.     Spreadsheet Skills  - be able to use a spreadsheet program (Excel) to create and chart data.

 

4.     Electronic Presentation Skills - be able to use PowerPoint and data projectors to create and give electronic presentations.

 

5.     Web Navigation Skills - be able to navigate the World Wide Web and search effectively for data on the Internet.

 

6.     Web Site Design Skills - be able to design, create, and maintain a faculty Web page with lesson plans.  

 

7.     E-Mail Management Skills - be able to use e-mail to communicate and be able to send attachments and create e-mail folders.

8.     Digital Cameras - know how to operate a digital camera and understand how digital imagery can be used.

 

9.     Computer Network Knowledge Applicable to your School  - know the basics of computer networks and understand how their school network works.

 

10.File Management Skills - be able to manage their computer files and be able to complete the following tasks; create, and delete files and folders, move and copy files and folders.

 

11.Computer-Related Storage Devices - understand and know how to use the following data storage devices: disks, CDs, USB drives & DVDs.

 

12.Educational Copyright Knowledge - understand the copyright issues related to education including multimedia and Web-based copyright issues.

 

13.Computer Security and Internet Safety Knowledge - know about basic computer security issues including knowledge of viruses, spyware and E-Mail SPAM and know about Internet safety and the difference between appropriate and inappropriate web sites for students.

 

14.Incorporate Technology to Enhance Teaching - be able to incorporate the use of technology into a lesson to engage students while improving their grasp of educational objectives and be able to take their class to a computer lab, media center or mobile lab (KHS) and use computers with the entire class. 

 

15.Print to Networked Copiers - be able to print to networked copiers instead of networked laser printers as cost savings measure.

 

16.Curriculum Mapping - be able to create and update curriculum maps in Atlas Rubicon.
