Volcanoes have
fascinated people for thousands of years, as much from a religious aspect as a
scientific one. Come with me as we
explore volcanoes. Take a field trip,
view volcanoes in action, and learn what a volcanologist actually does on the
job, and see if you might like to become a volcanologist in the future.
Complete all
seven tasks. Handwrite your report with
the information gathered from the tasks below.
Task
1: Welcome to the Tramline Volcano Field Trip. Describe
two stops on your tour that you liked best (1-2 sentences will do).
Task 2: List the four types of volcanoes and give examples.
Task
3: How many active volcanoes are in existence? How many
lives have been lost in the last 500 years?
What did ancient people attribute volcano eruptions to?

4: Check out the numerous pictures in
the slide show. How many do you recognize from science
class? Describe two of your favorite pics

world and write a paragraph (5-7 sentences) about it.
