Science 7

Seventh grade science is a course that emphasis learning that is useful and relevant. The goal of this class is to promote science literacy for all students where students will acquire the ability to construct, reflect, and use scientific knowledge. Students will investigate various topics such as cells, heredity, matter and energy, changes in matter, earth’s waters, ecosystems and biodiversity. Students will be taught using several methods and strategies including lecture, note taking, labs, projects, technology, current events and real life experiences to enrich the scientific concepts discussed in class. Students will be assessed in the following areas: homework, quizzes, tests, project, laboratory investigation, constructed responses, and notes.
