Life P.E. 8

The class is a non-competitive activity class that focuses on lifelong physical activities.  Cooperation with others and developing a positive attitude toward exercise is stressed.  Students are graded on their participation, dress, and cooperation/effort.  They must change into PE clothes, stay active, and participate in order to do well in this class. Five no dress days will be a failing grade.

Activities include aerobics, beanbag toss, biking, golf, hiking, snowshoeing, table tennis, team building activities, weight lifting, and juggling.  This is a 12 week, (tri-mester) class and the schedule of activities will vary, depending upon the time of year. Students will be expected to be in the locker room when class starts. They have five minutes to change and report to the gym. After class showers are optional but encouraged. Students have ten minutes to change and report to the commons. Students will be expected to stop and listen when the whistle blows. They will also be expected to show respect to others and most importantly stay active.
