What a great day to be a Flivver! We took 4th out of 17 teams with 9 wrestlers. We had two individual champions with Elizin Rouse taking 1st at 215 and Josh Peterson at 175. Tegan Ray took 3rd at 120 and Mac Kalcec also took 3rd at 132. Reed Degroot took 4th at 138 and the biggest surprise of the day Cam Nevil took 5th at 126. Noah Johnson finished 5th as well at a open 285 weight class. We had also had two UP All Academic team Josh Peterson and Noah Johnson. The coaches and I couldn’t be any prouder of this team and effort they put into today. We wrestled our butts off and were only 2.5 points behind Escanaba for 3rd. It was a complete effort from top to bottom of our line up with kids moving around and bumping up to wrestle. Now we get ready to make a run for post season and that’s when the real fun begins.
